which rear axle shafts
Considering new axle shafts for mini I am building. The truck is an 83 and is gettinga later wider rear axle installed. I picked up a V6 3rd witha detroit in it from Cougerfreak. The gears are being changed to 5.29.
Anyway I am considering upgrading the axle shafts. All Pro 4340 Marlin 4340 or Poly Performance I have the Poly PErformace shafts in my FJ40. Anyone have any opinions? Thanks Dave |

I've got stockers in mine and have yet to brake one. Unless your going to be running a stronger motor I wouldn't bother. If i had the choice I would run Marlins.

I have the stock reared unit in my truck. It has a spool, 5.29s, with dual transfer cases, and 37 MTrs. I pushing it with the stock 4 cylinder motor so far I have not broken anything yet. I would say don't spend the cash until you have to.
