It has taken me some time to assemble these books and learn about Toyota's and I'm only trying to help others by getting them up to speed.
I don't claim to know, and I don't claim these books to know it all but, if you go and get these books it will save you loads fo time:
1: asking question's
2: getting usefull information, quickly, and on hand
3: not tieing up some one elses time asking relatively obvious questions
4: this makes you self sufficient.
5: and on and on and on.
I recommend:
Chilton's Manual: I have and recommend the two both 1970-88 and 1988-96. I had to order myne at a book store and wait but hey.
Torque specs. cam specs. H.P/Torque spec's on all motor's Bore x stroke Toyota Truck and LandCruiser owner's bible: I have found alot of usefull info here but I'd say it's just not what you'd expect for the title.
V8 swaps card to efi swap Super charger Advanced Adaptors Buyer's Guide: Awsome absolutly awsome every thing from gear ratio's to trannie swaps, motor swaps. and it is.... free, call them give them your address, wait, when you get it you wont put it down for weeks.
Just get it, trust me. IT'S FREE F*R*E*E* Downey: lots of aftermarket parts and the info reguarding them. They don't argue or bicker with there competators.
Axle code's NorthWest off-road specialties, INC: very large assortment of aftermarket parts, some not availible by other supliers. They DO argue and bicker with there competators.
LC engineering: WHoley cow, get it you'll be glad you did, I have an old one.
Turbo kit's EFI kit's the new one's have SUPER CHARGER kit's in it. 
side draft's cam's Man-A-Fre: lot's of LandCriuser aftermarket and o.e.m parts I ordered myne along time ago for free but don't know if this still hold's true.
Body part's O.E.M part's O.M.Emu and Man-A-Fre lift's FSM: or
Factory Service Manual: Are to my knowlage, because I have no personal experience with these, to be the best for any technical or mechanical information.
Hays Manual's: all are great for starting and maintaining fires.
The first one (and last) I ever had convinlently left out part's of a particular disassembly just what I needed 75miles away from the nearest anything and me with no running vehical having to depend on some one else (Grandma) for transportation.
Make sure you have matche's lighter fluid
