Nice 4runner and cruiser. Just curious, why did you mount your sliders angled down like that?

Could the PO have welded them like that to be step?

Heh thats the only thing I can think of. I had just never seen sliders mounted like that.

they do work well as a step.

also helps keeps trees and other trail obstacles a few more inches away from the truck.

was thinking about mounting them different like i have seen them mounted on every other trail rig, have not found a reason to..................... yet.

it took a while getting used to looking at them like that.

88 extended cab

SAS with an 83 front axle
bellfield outer shafts
aussie up front lincoln locked in the rear
front has waggy leaves and rear is a trail gear 5"
dual 2.28 cases with an adapter from marlin
and a bunch of other stuff i don't recall

Well i'm new here so hope this works .

My rig 1986 4runner , still in factory paint with 200,000 on it
engine - 4.3 chevy , intake avs off road carb , headers , full duals .
Tranny - stock toy 5-speed
Case stock toy
Frontend -IFS 4:56 gears (open)
Rear end - V-6 theard member 4:56 gears (open)
4 inch lift , 3 inch body
Bushwacker cut outs , allpro sliders
33/12.5-15 Pro-comp muds On classic two wheels

Future mods - solid axle . Dual cases ( have the parts ) then lockers !
