Newby with a new 85 Runner
Never been one to lurk for long , and excited about the new 85 Runner and the mini build I'm doing here in Bishop, CA in the shadow of the High Sierra.
Been wheeling for 35 years and have been wheeling a 77 Early Bronco for the last ten years. It's built and becoming a dedicated rock crawler especially now that I've got the Runner for desert and mountain road trips. Already put 5.29s and lockers in the Runner along with front and rear bumpers. Putting a 4" lift on it in the next couple weeks which is gonna be it for a while. Bought it from a pastor who babied it its whole life. It has a newer 22RE and a bran new tranny and clutch and runs great! Folks are all telling me to restore the Bronco and build the Toy into a Krawler and maybe someday, but not now. Look forward to learning more tech on the Runner through sites like this. Thanks, Greg |
