Hello everyone, my 4runner has stopped working and i have had two mechanics work on it and they cant figure it out. my 4runner turbo was working great i parked and a hour later i went to start it and thats when the night mare began. We have conluded that there is no signal to the injectors so the injectors are not spitting out gas. If i hook up a bottle of starting fluid it will start until it burns it out. i have changed out the main relay , injectors, injectors resistor box and i checked the fuel pump and is working . But thats my problem there is no signal , i took my computer and put it in a toyota pick up 22R and it started up. Please if u know something , anything please let me know .

Have you checked the ECU for any stored codes? Might not be accurate now, since you pulled the ECU out and put it in another vehicle.
When is the last time you changed the fuel filter? If you crack the fitting at the cold start injector and jumper the Fp and +B contacts in the diagnostic connector, then turn the key to ON, fuel should spit out. Just making sure you have fuel pressure. __________________ KB1OSF '87 Toyota xcab SR5 - SAS'd, stuff '98 Lexus ES300 '04 Toyota Highlander |
