LX450 coils on 4runner

I just installed stock rear springs from an LX450 on the rear of my 1990 4runner. I have seen several questions about how much lift these springs will give. So I measured from the top of the rim to the bottom of the fender before and after. Before, the distance was 12" and after the distance was 15" on both sides. I replace stock height 4runner springs with stock height LX450 springs and got 3" of lift. I just wanted to post this since I have first hand experience with this.

A buddy put my '96 LX rear springs and shocks on his '90 with the same result.

What is the difference in the front and rear springs on a 80. I have to springs from a 80 that I lifted and cant tell if they are front or rear and would like to put them on a 4 runner.

The 80 rear springs are larger in diameter. The 80 rears fit the rear of second gen Runners, the fronts fit the rear of third gen Runners.
