Yeah, don't bother w/ a trailmaster/procomp dif drop kit. Go to 4crawler.com (Roger Brown's page) and go w/ ball joint spacers in the front and stock 80 series coils in the rear.

scroll to the bottom to view the availible lift for this. I run trail master lifts on both of my trucks. the spindle bracket is lengthened. the use of ball joint spacers is lame. sorry cap'n. alignment specs for camber get tweeked. the rear uses coil spacers, and a panrod bracket. You could use the 80 springs like cap'n says, but either way you need to compensate with drop brackets. 86-89 uses leafs in the rear.90-95 uses rear coil springs. the front ends are the same on all of em. |

Plenty of kits available for this truck - PLENTY! I don't think you searched too well.
I've installed a Rancho (front only) and a Superlift 4". I'd go Superlift any day of the week as choice #1 for the IFS kits. Perfect for 33-35" tires. __________________ Brian K. Gallus |

I had the TrailMaster kit on my 4runner. Unless it's a mall rig only, it sucks. Way too much leverage on the factory lower control arm mounts, poor fit up, the rear coil kit introduces too much travel and height for the factory panhard brackets. I destroyed both lower panhard mounts and cracked the rear axle housing at one of the mount weld areas.
It's a POS. Quote:

got some LC 80 coils for the rear of a 4runner with Bilstein 5150's stud conversions & panhard drop.... everything needed for the rear except for a brake line for 5.5" of rear lift
$200 for all..... Matt __________________ 94 4Runner SR5 V6 **SASed** 3Link w/Coilovers Pirate4x4 Build Thread 03 Tundra Tow Rig/DD |

I strongly second the 1-1/2" ball joint spacers with ultra low profile upper arm stops from Downey. You can get a full 2" or a little more by turning up the stock torsion bars. The weight of the 4runner will allow for flex even with the bars cranked. You can look at OME rear springs or Downey HD coils to match. The LC are great and cheap but may get you a little high depending on which set you use, look for a set off a LX450 to match a ball joint spacer front lift.

I run a ProComp 4"
$runners are mostly swappable from 90-95, so if you look in the 4 Wheel parts catalog under the pro comp lift area, yopu can find a 4" lift for IFS with Coil rear. I have been quite happy with it, my truck is pretty flexy for an IFS, and I have done some trimming to gain the ability to run 36" swampers with minimal rub.

I am running bj spacers and cruiser coils on my runner. Works out great, I have a little rake to it and levels out nice when loaded with camping gear and towing my little trailer. Def. need the panhard drop bracket from 4crawler. Here is the info on what I am running
http://www.yotatech.com/showthread.p...935#post961935 It also is way cheaper than any of the good drop bracket lifts, plus you get the added droop from the bj spacers. __________________ -Chris 89 Toy 4wd Van 5spd '93 4runner 3.SLO Auto 4x4 '07 Tacoma Dcab TRD 4.0 M416 |
