original? crapped out about 9 months ago.
replaced it with one from Advance Auto and that worked fine until a week ago. Driving on highway turned on the lights and they started to go dim. Got off and it died completely. no juice left at all.
Figured it was the same problem again, charged batt. drove to Advance, their test showed no charge coming from alt, so replaced under warranty. put new one in and still nothing.

Replaced batt terminals, + was pretty corroded inside.
Seems to be charging now- measures 14.5 V across the terminals when running and only 12.5 when not.

Thanks for the help.

Make sure your ground strap is good too. You have to have a good ground in a 12v system or nothing works as it should.
