I have a USP40 in the low 4000 range that I bought new back in 93 or 94. I checked a few years ago and they were way over the 200K serial # range.
The original mag release was too large and caused the mag to drop if you shot with a loose grip, so I sent it back and they installed the newer, smaller sized mag release, sighted it in, included the test target, and sent it back with a complete tuneup, all free of charge. Cool for sure.
My piece has the original polygonal bored barrel, the same type as the P7 series and most other H&K products. American shooters are used to standard rifling so it's no surprise that a competition unit would use this format.
