Question Will the Complete A/C system from 12v BJ60 work on 85 BJ70?

Guys,

Do you think that the A/C system from 85 BJ60 will work on bj70? The only thing that can create a problem is evaporator?

Thanks,
Alex

I would think you would want a 70 specific evap case and by far the most expensive of all the pieces.

Plus a lot of the parts are no longer available from Toyota. I think your best bet is to get all the parts out of a market where BJ70s came with A/C.

been there, done that...If you want this to look clean and factory, you'll need a LHD specific Evap case (I'm assuming youre LHD?). Mine was about $750 USD 4 yrs ago and was ordered new out of Japan. You also need the wiring harness & idle up (hard to get now), the 7X condensor & the 7X hard lines....the other parts could probably be salvaged from the 60. I went with all new parts and the bill was about $2,000 back when the USD was strong.
