Hmmm...seemed to work for me I searched under "BJ70 turbo" and got this thread which is a great one for you. Guys, nobody is trying to be mean here. It's just that there about 1000 threads with reems of info on just what you are asking. To re-hash the exact same topics over and over is of limited value for most. So if you search, read, then have specific questions that did'nt get answerd by the above method, post up!Everyone here is more than willing to help welcome guys.... __________________ ------------------ 88 FJ62 4spd/Toybox/SOA hardcore 99 UZJ100 softcore 03 VW TDI dd 92 M101 cdn |

wrong impression
After reading what I posted it totally comes across wrong. There is a wealth of knoledge here in mud. I have found in my application there are about 4 viable options. Each with apparant advanteages and disadvantages. No im trying to get into the more technical side of things and source a turbo that way. We'll see where that gets me. Mud is a great place with great people. But no one can provide you with the One answer that is perfect for you app. Can provide backround and personal experiences thats all.
Thanks again, Tyler |

Probably easiest is to the swap your 3B with a 13B-T. You will probably be able to get a lower milage engine too this way. Will probably cost more though then using any of the other methods.

axt is the most common kit,
denco is another viable option, call rob at Raddcruisers if you need to know about it. __________________ -84 BJ60, Finally on the FN road! -91 FJ80, wife's ride Iron Butt award winner of the Cruise Moab 08 ! |

Another Turbo to consider that I am just learning about is Turbo-Glide. We are doing one on a 2H but I have heard they also offer one for the 3B. It is in OZ and they use Garrett turbo's (like AXT) however so far from what I have seen with the 2H it is a little better setup for input and output on the turbo. Also the price is about half that of AXT. I will post more on Trubo glide as we install. (Not taking anything away from AXT very good turbo kit).
Cheers, Michael |

ordered two days ago the axt turbo kit and $h!t it is expensive!!! hope it worth all that money....3395$ canadian is a lot of money for a t07 garrett and piping!.....it costed me 4500$ to install a gt35r in my 94 turbo supra....went to 320 hp to 567 hp......so i hope this axt kit will help me in hp numbers at least!!

bigbrowndog,
i called turbo-glide(ballistic) and there is lot of customisation to do for their kit to fit my bj70 engine bay....down pipe doesn't come with the kit(350$) and so on....! __________________ 2x BJ70 1987(24v)+1 1985 BJ70...axt turbo soon on 87's (two weeks)

The JDM models as well as the US/Canada models have the exhaust in the same place, the clutch and brake do not interfer with the stock porting. Michael |

Ok, I must be missing something, the pictures on ebay show it in the engine bay of a BJ70. I have done both 40 and 70 with AXT and AXT will tell you the same thing but in reverse there kit is for a 70 series and lots of mods to put in a 40 series. My experience is some mods on 70 or 40 series with the AXT. I do like the that fact that the Turbo glide as the same setup as 13B-T for the exhaust they have a small cast piece that changes from horizontal to vertical to hook the exhaust into. Is that the piece they are saying is 350? BTW Jan just picked up a Turbo Glide for his 2H and including shipping and everything to USA it was 2k USD. Cheers, Michael |
