Garrett GT2871

Hi all,

Can anyone give me some feedback on the above turbo?

Will it work ok on a 1hz ??

I believe it is a roller bearing turbo?

Does anyone run one of these on there cruiser?

Cheers!

I think you might be better off with a GT2860....
70 trim might be a little big and cause some turbo lag.
Do you know your current model in your axt kit?
If your serious about a performance turbo I would go the gbentink route.

the issue that I see with the 2871 it's you gonna get full boost close to 2800 rpm and that with good amount of fuel involved .. but you will be ready to make big boost numbers .. not sure if that's your target.

Few 1HZ's out there with them, there are better options available depending on how much boost you want to run?

Gbentink .... I'll do some research , I've never heard of them!

Do you mind posting a couple of pics of your new turbo!

I'm keen to learn more!

Cheers

It's wicked, awesome, performs very well.
Boosts early, hard, and throughout the rev range nicely

I will be testing it extensively on the 77 when the time comes

hi to my personal experience this is good enough for ihz provide the fuel map is tune nicely,at 18 psi you should see 200-220 at the wheels.boost can kick on as early as 1600 rpm.this turbo size has been tested long time ago.used .63/53mm-inducer,60 trim.
