Glad you made it out OK. Good luck with the rebuild and keep us posted on your progress .

-Alberto

P.S. What tire size are you running on the truck?

The new body comes with a frame too? And mix-&-matched door(s)

I'm guessing... you're reusing all the interior (like seats and dash) and everything in front of the firewall?

Yes every thing in the interior is still good! Surprisingly the whole front end didn't get damaged and the snorkel even formed back to shape with no cracks.

Great that you were able to locate a replacement body. Could you share the details on where/how you got it?

I live in Edmonton AB found a local guy on Kijiji that had a body for sale he was planning on using it as a replacement body for his own rig except lost interest and decided to part it out. Him on the other hand got the body from some place up north.

Can you stud your tires there?

I know here in Ontario the few times I have encountered some bad icy conditions the SWB70 can be down right scary even with good winter tires and nice new brakes... The short wheel base makes any amount of rear braking want to spin the truck like a top. I think studs would really help, of course in my part of ontario they aren't allowed!

I do think the next time I purchase tires I will just get toyo winters with the walnuts in them and run them year round. I don't put enough km's on the truck to matter and I think they would work pretty decent in mud...

Either way I'm glad you're okay and the truck is going to be nicer then when u started! So is she a CDM spec?

Cheers!

Thanks, sounds like a one find rather than a source for several bodies. Again congratulations getting your truck back together.
