so all in all it should turn out nice enough for a company beater...

I'll bet you don;t pay $11K for the trucks that undergo this sort of resotration though?

this is the one I hope to bring out to the Land Cruiser Days for it's inaugural run. I like to have something not everyone has, even if it is not as cool as some of the rigs that will be there, it should be a one of a kind...
I will post pics or a link later...
(thanks for asking)

ummm, no. but when you do all your own work and have a parts supply house in the back yard then it does help to keep the costs down...
;^)
if this truck had to have all new/custom parts supplied and installed by a 3rd party and painted with the custome tray back then i would hazzard a guess at around $25,000 - $35,000 CND... depending on the shop that is doing the work. i have no doubt the truck will be appraised at close to $30,000..

WOW! Wayne, I am suddenly afraid that I have under-insured my truck. Can you PM me with what you figure it's worth to replace?, knowing it's pretty much like the raggie you had prior to custom touches.

Hey guys on the troopie topic

I was in powell river this weekend and saw one in the walmart parking lot wish i had my cam with me. Powell river is like the LC capital of BC. I saw tons of Diesel cruisers. 70's ,60's and hilux surf, one lot had 4 for sale it was wierd and all RHD . Anyone know what the deal is up there?
They all seemed in nice shape except the hilux surf it was beat on.

The dealer up there was always keen on Cruisers. Always had them on his lot and had customers who traded theirs in for new ones. Northern in P.G. and to a lesser extent Hilltop in Salmon Arm were the same. At least 2/3 of my fleet over the years (like three dozen now) originated at Northern.

Hey wait. I live in Powell River...

Yep there is a importer here. His name is Tim Clements 1-888-483-6313

And there are several RHD cruisers, a few nice 40's some ratty 40's and a lot of stock 60's. Didn't see the troopie. Lot's of adventure tourists make their way through here though, could be one of those. Never seen it in town before...
