BJ70 seat

If anyone has played around with the seat, please let me know. I looked under the driver's seat and noticed a "hair comb" shaped piece of metal that acts as the index as the seat is notched back and forth. Trouble is, it doesn't go to the last possible notch on the way back. It's hitting some sort of solid stop too early, and I'd like to remove/adjust this if possible to get another inch for my "gut-steering wheel" issue.

Thanks,

I went and had a look at mine. There is no stopper holding it from reaching the last tooth on the rack.
Maybe pull them out and clean the runners, they get clogged up with pizza crusts and womens underwear.

I cleaned mine up, oiled the runners and tightened up every bolt I could find.
I also tried to get the nylon bush for the reclining hinges as the old one was worn through.
No luck and was told a 6 week wait from Japan if Toyota can get one.
I ended up buying one that was close and honing it down till it fit
