US to give Mali 37 Cruiser pickups

Anybody else think this is ironic? US Cruiserheads would kill to drive these.

Maybe we could get together, round up a few US administration officials, advisers, "Czars," department hands and other assorted riff-raff and offer to trade them pound for pound for the Cruisers. Maybe even 2 for 1... Surely Mali has need for landfill and breakwater materials. Or fertilizer. I hear bureaucrats are better than cow spat for that. Except for being toxic to all life forms sometimes.

US Cruiserheads keep saying they would kill for one of these trucks. Maybe an Al-Qaida-for-Cruiser program is in order.

I didn't see anywhere in that thread that the OP or anybody else said they were coming to America. I can probably get you a hundred Cruiser pickups as well FOB Saudi.

Ok so he says it "might happen" and he doesnt actually mention where he is.
Maybe Im jumping to conclusions, but judging by his obvious excitement,he is in the US.
I doubt he is in south africa or australia where you can buy them off the shelf any day

This sounds like it might be a pain in the neck to actually acquire, but on the other hand, it sounds like one of those rare opportunities you always wished you could find out about.

I'm not making this up!
I have a friend who knows a guy who's into the auto import business, He is about to come across over 100 US Military maintained, Land Cruiser "Brutus" Diesels. Most of these are retired UN vehicles. These are 2005 - 2006 model year vehicles.
If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll forward to you the contact info of the guy who knows a guy who might make this all happen :-)
Then it changes direction and a disclaimer comes out

All I am doing is passing along the point of contact info. I have not received permission to post his info directly, so for now, am just doing it via PM.
I do not know the legitmacy, or validity of this info, but I do trust the source
