August Tera Tak Trak Trip - Pics fixed

Recent trip 8th August to a nice waterfall are - no pics of the water fall as I was too busy cooking and fixing REDs steering up.

This is known as Tera Tak Track (say that one fast) only about 5-65 k but can be fun especially when the water is up.

We took 3 trucks - Hilux Surf (DAFFY), LC II (Tyson) and my LC II (RED).

the toyz lined up , TYSON, RED and DAFFY

Red at the first river crossing (the water is loww as its dry season here).

Then its DAFFY

Then the second river crossing as we took the wrong turn and this is TYSON with its new door after the chengal tree disaster

Then DAFFY

Then the first real obstacle the muddy creek the place of many bashed doors and broken winch cables in the past. THis is TYSON with its mighty but dying 14B-T.

Then its DAFFY with its new 1KZ and a happy driver

Then we are on the next the hill climb about 10 meters past the creek crossing. This climb is slowly getting tougher - wide trucks. doors and panels get dented and mirrors crushed.

Finally DAFF clears the climb and we are all free.

part 2 to folllow

Part 3

This is the BANANA steering arm then we have to fix it.

HEating it fails and we want our food hot not cold.

So a secret conversation with the RAWANG hospital mekanik gives me a few clues and very sore arms from the jarring as I smah it straight on a log

Thhen its dinner - curry chicken and stir fried vegtables and curry potatoes

Then we got religious and had a praying mantis drop in for dinner.

The breakfast chefs since I had a religious figure drop in when cooking they sacked me and cooked themselves.

BUTTERFLIES - RAJA BROOKE Malaysia biggest butterflies

We depart ccamp and head down to the lower track for fun and LUNCH

I decide to try the mudhole and DAFFY will play rescue since this is a VOVLO AXLE play ground I will get STUCK!

Part 4 Last

DAFFY takes the chicken track (and the chicken track requiers winching also) to effect the rescue. It takes us 1 hour to get me out and i BUST my wionch cable so the HILUX is my hero and rescuer. Spare cable we will attach later.

Yes folks this mud is serious.

Then some clown comes in behind me and gets 2meters less than i did we leave! We head for lunch and home.

maybe if there was a bit of hard ground your could have slowly slowly run the steering arm over to get it flatter

Nah it needs violent whacks to hitting the bent parts on a log almost made it straight - in fact its still on it a bigger stronger new one was purchased but not insttalled yet.

Man anyone who has done this knows how much the jarring hurts hahaha.

Sorry this is the bit from camp to to the end of the track and back to the camp site where RED steerign became impossible.

Then its the creek and waterfall below the camp site but we are going to drive to the end of the track and back first.

DAFFY goes first

Thats me running out the winch cable as DAFFY gets stuck

Then its me in RED I hope the locker gets me up.

No NO NO NO NO I get stuck also the locker does not help - WINCH rats!

Then TYSON makes it all look easy and drives 300cm to the left and makes it - RATS!

Then there is this - this used to be flat 1 month ago the week before a JEEP roll here going to fast and cutting the corner.

End of the trrack we turn around for the 1k trip to camp. But I cannot turn the steering arm has BENT like a banana and I have almost no steering. I have to winch 180 degress to turn myself around.

Back at the creek crossing at the camp site I can no longer turn and have to winch 20+degrees left into the creek crossing.
