Not mine, but deleting the front indicator/ blinker in putting in a little one in the front guard looks pretty clean

Hi Guys, I just added some 50mm (2") spacers on the front coils of my 79, the OME coils has sagged it seems so I needed to get it back up a bit. My new PWR water/air intercooler is on its was as well as an albright winch solenoid and some other goodies.
The truck gets new paint in a month or so due to a botched paint job a couple of years ago.

That 79 Louis is one tough looking truck and sounds tops on the vids what sort of rear springs are you using and how many leafs with the alloy tray?? Mine is pretty rough with a empty alloy tray, 3 dirt bikes on it then it rides like a gemof road

Hi Wayne, thanks. Ya they are a money pit for sure, I still need to dump 20K into it to make it exactly as I want. So you finally got that truck, what are you going to do with it?
Clint, i have OME springs on it, I removed the long overload spring and a few leafs - I think I have 5 or 6 left in each pack. I might put one more back in though as when I put a load on it sags immediately, but it does ride ok - but always better with a load in it.
I'd like to convert to coils in the rear some day, more money.
Louis

not sure, at first i wanted to burn it. that thing has been frustration since i bought it
but
i took it for a drive and fell in love
so
i guess i will make it earn its keep... probably build a custom dump tray for the back and go from there.
coil rear would be nice for your truck...

You should consider this material that I used on my truck, extruded stuff that is tongue and groove so you can make any size you want, and the front side and back pieces all fit in to the tongue and groove as well so it is a simple cut and fasten job. It is what they build tractor trailer trailers with. This would be stronger than anything a fabricating shop can produce for alot less money - and would be ideal for a dump box.
Here is the company info:
Trebor Manufacturing Ltd Aluminum Truck Platforms
I know the manager and can get any size of material you want - and ship it out as well.
Louis
Coils would be awesome, still trying to figure out what setup I am going to use though. I'm using it as a daily driver now, by the fall I should have another HZJ73 hopefully for a winter driver. Once the 79 is a dedicated off roader then I will really go nuts on it.

Pic of my new headlights the hids i got mounted all and ready to plug in but the h4 hid globes are only high beam im guessing for headlights like a late 60 series or aus 80 series with the twin so while im waiting on globes just have std h4 in but the head lights with the little magnifi globe makes a good difference im very happy with results speacially for low beam i can see heaps more at night but when my hid spotties (even though there small) come on it makes my headlights look like candles in rain

haha yeah i work hard so i deserve it lol.
that beach i was at was preetty hard, could be driven on with a 2 wheel drive and i havent really been on any soft beach with the new tyres but they seem to go well through the bush.
so you got a 4.5 litre petrol ay? i have only seen a couple of them around perth , i heard of a guy supercharging one and making bulk power.

this is my newest to me cruiser
bought it like this
modified it in Japan to this ( http://www.luxuryimports.ca/forsale/...1/DSCN2197.JPG )
and finished it here in canada to this
not much but it is a 1991 with only 8500 km on it...
and for a Canadian that is cool since the only 75s we could get were exmine "beat to crap" trucks...
