no they don't, the 60 mirrors come close but not acceptable ... in my books.

Do you fold your mirrors in when your off road? I do when I remember. 70 series mirrors readily available on eBay
and the like.

not to change the thread too much, but aftermarket 70 mirrors aren't rare down here. If people want to put together a group buy, I can do some looking around for best pricing.

I bought one for my 60 (wayne is right, the fit is good enough for a trail rig, but not good), I think it cost me about $15- plastic housing w/ glass mirror, "chrome" outside.

anyhow- if there is enough interest to where I can add enough $ to cover fuel and a a meal or two, I'll do some legwork to buy the mirrors and send them up to 1 point in North America. From there it should be easy to distribute them. Packaging them up separately here would add a lot to the price.

////sorry for the hijack

Hey guys yeh you reast of the world may get those package options, But i can tell you now there has never been electric mirrors on a ute in this country or blue tooth. Mine is an 08 model and the most modern thing in it is the electric windows and it top of the line GXL. no cruise or anything. Maybe diffrent in the troopys and that but i never seen inside on of them, never in an aussie ute before and maybe wont get that option here anyway?

that is okay, moregrunt, we Canadians got the bottom of the barrel units as well. semi floating rear, no air, no lockers, no sunroof (well one did), no power anything and to top off the "bottom of the barrel" package we got the 3.70 diffs...sheesh.
then we got the JDM vehicles coming in and then saw what we were missing.

thats because 98% of our utes have the flat trays not tubs,, so on with the wide manual mirrors
the factory 79 series doors now come std with holes and nuts inside the door for the wide brackets which means toyota aus must expect every ozi that buys a ute wants to get a flat tray

Did oz get the electric mirrors in the 84-90 SWB,MWB and light duty 7* series?

I strongly doubt any CC or troopy ever had them .

Im pretty sure the FJ62 and HJ61 Saharas had them as an option but there are not many around.

Yeah my 74 has carpet and electric mirrors but wind up windows.

Strange, you think they would have options like full or no electrics
not half and half stuff going on. I would prefer no electrics
cause its just more stuff to go wrong.

My 85 FJ73 is the same, air con, carpet, elec windows not mirrors. Which is a good thing at the rate I smash mirrors off. Though all my electrics still work, not bad for a 24 year old car!

You could proberly order one for under the seats to under the pedals from a std 79 series at toyota, or are the floor shapes a bit different?

I tried but they are sold out, the "basic" (non LX) 71 model comes with the vinyl carpet, I wanted to get one from those. But I borrowed my mate's vinyl carpet so that I can cout out the pattern out of vinyl to make one myself.

(My mate doesn't need the carpet because his rig is currently being fixed because he rolled it )

I don't know, maybe but I'd have too look for them because I have no idea of where I could have saved them.

It was a weird accident, he lost control and landed on his left side but then, no one knows why, the car flipped again (without hitting the roof) and landed on it's other side, so they pretty much had to fix every single body panel.

Is this car ( or 76 78 ... or another engine ) available with automatic transmission ???
In Europe is this car for sale only unofficial with tuned 1HZ engine. But I think this engine doesn´t fulfil EURO 5 emission. It is end of HZj7x in EC .
I want it for sale in official dealer network with VDJ engine from LC200. . This car is better than Defender.

I havent seen an auto version yet ,except in the older models.
Its certainly much better than a defender but is also much dearer.

You would feel really good about that jesus bar if your passenger dies and you survive in a head on because of no airbag wouldnt you.

IMO twin airbags should have been a minimum safety requirement for at least the last 10years

Gibo get real mate lets be honest solid chassis rails and the biggest fullsize cab chassis on the road dont need airbags. i dont know how many blokes that have flipped cruisers and ran off the road and walked away. airbags are just more crap too break in the bush. Thats my opinion, i feel very safe in my ute and if i had a head on i reackon i would walk away in most cases
