A little update... PTO winch got a little face lift. New seals, gasket, and a fresh powder coating! Thanks Dan for the use of the shop! OME is on the way!

Boogie

I got all the bits mostly from Toyota and some from are coming from Specter Off-Road.
  • Gasket - 38121-60010
  • Seal Type T - 90311-38032
  • Seal, Winch Worm - 90311-28004

The bearings and bushing were still fine, so they didn't need to come out.

I'm replacing the fill and drain plugs, the shear pin, and the brake lining. All coming from specter.

Man! That looks better assembled than it did in person. I can't wait to see it assembled in person! I should really get cracking on rebuilding my PTO now that I've gotten to play with all the bits separately.

Dan

BEEN BUSY!

OME installed!

Went with the CS006F and the CS004RA/B. I was not sure if I wanted that much weight carrying ability on the rear so I removed the leaf. I also wanted to move the axle forward - didn't get a chance to do it yet. Its on the list, but ran out of time and didn't have a drill bit large enough.

Lift numbers

Front right: 915 mm > 980 mm = 65 mm (2.55")
Front left: 905 mm > 990 mm = 85 mm (3.34")
Rear right 1031 mm > 1107 mm = 76 mm (2.99")
Rear left: 1002 mm > 1115 mm = 113 mm (4.44")

Front measurements from ground to center of headlights, rear from ground to almost top of brake lights.

Poser shot form Moab! GREAT TIMES!

Tires 285/75 16s BFG KM2's on Eagle Alloy 16x8. Have some rubbing in the back that I need to sort out, other then that the Cruiser ran great!

MORE TO COME!

Moisture also took out the adjustment screws and the screws that hold the retaining ring. Went for the quick fix with some bolts from the hardwear store... looked like ****! So off to Toyota, got all the bits to do it right. The time waiting for parts gave me a bit of time to clean up and paint the lens brackets. Cant wait to take it out for a night drive!

Another project finished was to get a bit more room in the front right. I added some spacer and longer bolts to raise the seat about 10mm, think i need another 10. Has anyone else done this, and how much did you lift the seat?
Attachment 350391
I am 5' 10" and installed my seat back 3.0" and up 1.5". Way more comfortable and can see better when wheeling.

A 3/8" shim under the wastegate will give you about 10-12 lbs. My stock boost max was 6 psi

Been too busy! Not much work on the cruiser. Relocated the seat - made it much more comfortable. 2.5 inches back and .5 inch up.
