You would hope that Aisin would look after their service vehicles
since they make the parts that go in the truck.

thanks, so far i have been happy with the couple ex-fire trucks i bought from Japan. they seem to be well serviced.
other than paint fade it was solid and the interior still had the shipping plastic on the door panel...

No upgrade, old mag rims that I bought with the rig. Think they could be from the previous decade.

Hi Bennie,

Those rims look exactly like mine. Do they have "Performance" stamped into the
side of them. How do they fit? The inside of mine slightly hit the tie rod end rubber boot
because of the wheel balance weights.

Search Performance Wheels - Outlaw - 15x8. They may also have N24 stamped on the rim.
Negative 24 offset.
They look heaps like mine.

Cheers Buddy.

Dig the hat, I bought one of those in 94 when I was in OZ, finally wore it out a couple years ago, was called an Araphat or something like that?

I ask because I wouldn't mind getting another, being a red head out on the water in summer is murder...

And to be on topic, I DD a CDN BJ70, but it's pretty mundane looking next to all the cool 75's tho.

but, to prove it exists, heres a boring driveway pic.

Yep its the araphat frill neck hat, its on topic as you can wear them while driving a cruiser......especially if on illegal trails

They are a great hat though in the fiece sun, a bit michael jackson though http://www.happymicks.com.au/prod138.htm

I like your front bar and lift ! It seems alot of the short wheel base models do not have side steps? did they get damaged and you removed them or are they not released with them ?

Would they be of a 80 series with no center caps?

Performance Wheels - Outlaw - 15x8. They may also have N24 stamped on the rim.
Mine catch on the same weigts, same offset and width. Want to go for longer wheel studs and place a 5mm spacer between the rim and hub.

Hi Bennie,

I put 2" spacers on mine which puts the tire about an inch outside the flares. I should have gone a 1" spacer. I want to get rid of the spacers and look into stick on wheel weights that aren't mounted on the edge of the rim. Hopefully that will solve my rubbing issue. Let me know what u come up with. I have so much to do to the rig. Everything is pretty much up to scratch but there are a few thing I want to make better. I priced the rims at around $300 per rim and they do look pretty sweet. I don't want to get rid of them there has to be a way to fix it.

Gav.

Here's some more for you. The 75 is an old Marine Corp truck that Sparky picked up off the DRMO auction. I'm sure it was one originally given to the Military for Desert Storm. The Marine Corp still has a few troopies and maybe a few pickups left on Oki. The DRMO auction is shady when it comes to these trucks and Sparky only got to bid on it after he raised some hell ask to why it mysteriously didn't come up for auction. It's got a nice custom fabbed bumber in the rear similar to an 80 series designed bumper and a 4x4 labs front cut and turned 80 series front axle with difflock and difflock in the rear. He already has a Kentucky title for it for when he rotates out of Okinawa. Future plans are a Toyota diesel.
