Hi All:

Look up "Marks 4wd Adapters" in Australia. They sell an adapter to fit the Land Cruiser H41/42 and H55F transmissions to a SBC V-8.

In North America the company "Advance Adapters" is the agent for "Mark's" products.

Regards,

Alan

My old man has had a fair few holden chevy and chrysler v8 powered 4x series cruiser utes over time with the 4speeds before he moved onto the 7x series utes and never seemed to have any dramas with them from what i gather the 5 speeds are pretty much the same box with 5th gear squeezed behind the back of the box and infront transfercase ,i did notice when i put a starpicket through my transfer case in my fj75 and lost oil and teeth gears when i put a earlya 4 speed transfer case to my 5 speed box the main shaft in the tranfer was thinner than the later one and that gear box got the absolute sh*t put through it every day since i bought the ute with out fail ,hat of to the gearbox.
Soo you having a laterbits in your box should be better anyways. two mates with 6.5lt chevs runs the std h55f box and have not had any dramas either ,but depends how you like to drive to
