Any interest in group buy for 73/74 windshield frames?
I've been in contact with Dave Stedman of Japan4x4, and he can supply the windshield frames for 41,100 yen - currently just over $500 CDN. The kicker is the freight costs - a single piece by air freight to Canada is as much or more than the frame itself.. However, a pallet load by sea is approx. the same cost.
Thus it would only make sense if we can get 5 or more (preferably more) orders together, and ship by surface..
I would like to know how much interest there is, to determine if there is a possibility of going ahead with this.
Please indicate your interest by posting in this thread.
Jim

Hi Jim,
I am interested in purchasing a windshield-frame (I need), but there is a problem, I live in Spain, Europe
Which can not be the cost of shipping from Canada to Spain???
Here in Spain, the price of "new" Windshield-Frame in Toyota is 1.300 €€€
if not you better buy it with you ...

Lulo:
I'd suggest you contact Roscoe, or Dave at Japan4x4 directly - His contact info is easy to find in the "Vendor Marketplace" button up top.
There doesn't seem to be much interest - I don't think it is going to happen.

Doing something different...
Due to the insufficient interest to make a pallet shipment feasible, I've ordered one locally. PM for further details.
A word of caution - the HZJ73 has a different part# than the BJ73/74, and is about 25% more.

There is about 11 different part # and 3 different prices for them.
I wonder if they give them new numbers just to bump the price up.
I have a new HZJ75 frame and I cant see any difference to my 73 frame, but I would have to remove it to be sure.
Toyota has given different part # to things like brake master cyls even though they are completely interchangable.
