Advice needed for R&R of BJ70 Radio Antenna
I need advice on the best way to remove and re-install the manual radio antenna on a 1986 BJ70 (BJ71 Canadian spec). I was unable to check if this topic has been discussed previously since the search engine will not open for me this afternoon. It appears that the upper fender apron needs to be removed to gain access to the antenna, but that seems like a big chore a radio antenna.
Thanks in advance for any advice and insight you can share. __________________ Larry Downey Kennesaw, GA 1986 BJ70, 1981 FJ40, 1995 FZJ80 1981 FJ40, 1986 BJ70 (Projects) |

yep, just did it last week.
remove old, tape string to it so when you pull it out into the engine compartment you have a messenger line. reverse to get new one in. only took a few minutes. if you it's too messed up to tie a string to, bend a coat hanger and fish it around till you can get a string through . __________________ I disagree. 87BJ70 BJ109/55.
