Whar is the std rim/tyre size pls?
Yeah hi gang, just wondered if anyone knows this for sure, my research suggests plenty of differences.
I currently hav 3110r15's, but they all pretty much need replacing :-(, so was kinda thinkin that if I increased the diameter size, I may get betta fuel economy and more accurate speedo and odometer readings. Cheeers |

skinny will give you better fuel milage... not sure what truck you are talking...maybe your BJ73? the a 33X9.5X15 (or 16) will be fine for your application.
but it will take quite some time to equate to the expense of buying new tires...unless you need tires anyway... __________________ pulling this info out of my ass so take it with a pound of salt "People are poor because they don't spend money wisely, tough sh!t !!! Thanks Crushers, yeah need to be replaced anyway so may as well get what you've suggested. I assume that these would blow on to my existing 15" rims without any issues.

235/85/16 and 255/85/16 seem to be very popular sizes for 16" rims, the 235 size is very common with a large selection of tires, but with the 255 tire there is little selection.

My 73 with 31 in tyres over reads by 13kph at 113(Im really doing 100kph) The 31 do have a benefit in the fact that they give you a speedy getaway, something you may need to consider. __________________ HZJ75 cab chassis 95 model ,stocker FJ73+1HZ Diesel NEW GEARBOX 1HZ =same power as 3F with 30% better fuel economy 2in Dobinsons lift.Powerdown adj shocks 33 in BFG A/T HJ61 with slidin windas regrettfully SOLD:(Volvo 740 GL |

Thanks Rosco, what a great idea. So from this you can then recalculate real km's per litre, is that right?Yeah was funny the other day tryin to go up Greenmount what a struggle, really felt sorry for those behind me. Had to stay in RH lane for our turn off and then we ended up turnin at the wrong place, so then we had to re-enter half way up, oh man it was comical... I'm just gonna have to avoid Greenmount in future or get a turbo
