Whar is the std rim/tyre size pls?

Yeah hi gang, just wondered if anyone knows this for sure, my research suggests plenty of differences.

I currently hav 3110r15's, but they all pretty much need replacing :-(, so was kinda thinkin that if I increased the diameter size, I may get betta fuel economy and more accurate speedo and odometer readings.

skinny will give you better fuel milage... not sure what truck you are talking...maybe your BJ73? the a 33X9.5X15 (or 16) will be fine for your application.

but it will take quite some time to equate to the expense of buying new tires...unless you need tires anyway...

Thanks Crushers, yeah need to be replaced anyway so may as well get what you've suggested. I assume that these would blow on to my existing 15" rims without any issues.

Cheers

Snowy

235/85/16 and 255/85/16 seem to be very popular sizes for 16" rims, the 235 size is very common with a large selection of tires, but with the 255 tire there is little selection.

A 32in tyre would be pretty close to stock and bring your speedo into line .
My 73 with 31 in tyres over reads by 13kph at 113(Im really doing 100kph)
The 31 do have a benefit in the fact that they give you a speedy getaway, something you may need to consider.

Okay thanks again Rosco, thought that 32" would be close. Really just wanna get things back to a point where I can accurately measure fuel economy. Theres prolly some algorithym I could use now, but not sure what it would be

Thats funny about a speedy getaway, as you know the old 3b is slow enuff as it is May hav to stick with these

I use a $100 hand held GPS to get accurate speeds like this one

Yeah was funny the other day tryin to go up Greenmount what a struggle, really felt sorry for those behind me. Had to stay in RH lane for our turn off and then we ended up turnin at the wrong place, so then we had to re-enter half way up, oh man it was comical... I'm just gonna have to avoid Greenmount in future or get a turbo
