oh and i may as well ask about the ability of the 13bt and 4.11's to effectiveley spin 33's , that was the big deal killer for me with my last 60 the 3b just doesnt cut it with stock gears and 33's .

Auto will give you much more left side leg room. I moved my seat back a few inches in the BJ74, and can stretch out my left leg now on highway trips (past the pedals...still not the best).
The auto will impact mileage. And imo you would want at a minimum to run synth fluid, an extreme VB, an external cooler and tranny gauge. On my BJ74 With 35" SSR's, bars all round, and the lift I am getting approx 11.5L/100kms. This is with the box in the back, most of my tools, etc...tipping the scales around 5000lbs. Pretty darn good imo. You would have NO problems running 35's and the factory 4:11's with the 13BT, so 33's are no sweat. I should add...I have the Marks 1:08/3:05 t-case gears as well. But 33's and all stock=no worries at all. I would call the BJ74 a great two person, and the HJ61 a much better choice for a family vehicle. Both will wheel great. Overhang on the HJ61 will get pooched quicker unless you protect. Shoot me a message and you can come check out out BJ74 and HJ61 in person...compare side by side so to speak. hth's gb __________________ WANT A TOYOTA DIESEL ENGINE? Apparently it likes the bigger tires and freer (is that a word?) flowing exhaust. Bummer

for two people the 74 is great, i like mwb great size for camping and turning around on tight logging roads.
even with my minimal mechanical skills i can still do a lot of my own 74 work. i also recommend getting a 74 with the suspension seats, these are fairly affective way of shock absorption.
