Engine won't shut 0ff
Hi there....My engine will not always shut off on my BJ71, and when it happens the clutch gets really stiff. I understand that there is a switch on the engine itself that cuts off the air supply, and then shuts down the engine. Does anyone know where the switch is?
Thanks |

Its likely your EDIC. Maybe it is just a dirty or loose connection if it is an intermitent problem. Search or do a post in the diesel section.

If you don't have the 3B/13BT manual either down load it from links off this site, or buy a copy. Follow the trouble shooting process with the VSV. The VSV uses the vacuum system, same as your vacuum assisted clutch. May be the VSV, but I think an intermittent vacuum leak. Either way, follow the manuals process and that should point direction. hth's gb |
