Idling Issues

I have a stock 1978 FJ40. Runs fine, but when I come to a stop it will not idle - engine turns off. Has an electronic ignition. Changed fuel filter, plug wires, adjusted Idle screw - can't figure it out. Any suggestions...? Thanks.

Might wanna start a thread in 40-Series Tech about it.

This forum is for 70-series, like the FJ70 or BJ70, which replaced your FJ40 after 1984.
