5 speed transmission change

I have a PZJ70 (1990) with a R141F( 4 speed, manual) Transmission. The model of this vehicle is PZJ70RV-KR.

Is it possible to add a fifth gear to the R141F gearbox housing?

Otherwise I was thinking of replacing the 4 speed transmission with a 5 speed gearbox. Is it possible to use a 5speed transmission from a BJ70,BJ60 or HJ60 series Landcruiser? Furthermore will the drive shaft have to be changed to? There are many such vehicles, in my country, which are now being junked. So, parts are cheap and readily available.

I also haver a PTO winch from a BJ70. How could I fit this into the equation?

Thanks.

You could add the gear, the R151 and the R141 share the same case. However it will be cheaper to buy an assembled transmission. The R151 is not too bad cost wise.

The BJ70,BJ60 or HJ60 series Landcruisers use the H55F transmission and you will have real problems making this fit on your motor.

The PTO box should slap right on there, fly at it!

Thanks! Japan4X4.

How about the 5speed transmission of the 80 or the 100 series? What's the difference between the R150 and R151?

Where would the drive shaft of the PTO winch fit into? Does one need a special attachment?

What is the cost of a 1hz engine and gearbox in Japan? Could I fit it into my PZJ70?

Could you help me import to Nepal?
