Not all countries are getting the new body and V8 diesel at the same time . The ME and South Africa got the new body with the old range of engines.
South America will probably still be getting the old body from the Venezuelan plant
Oz and NZ had to get the new engine to be compliant with ADR in regards to emissions.

I heard today the 200 series with the V8 twin turbo arrives in Oz on Nov 11

200 series with the all new V8 twin turbo diesel .. here in Panamá ..



Already sell 15 at 92,500 USD ..

We have the new front in 7* series .. but not yet the V8 single turbo ..

I don't think so .. but we can see the distance in Google Earth ..

But one thing that really impress me, it's the price .. ( but .. nothing more to expect with the dolar down .. ) but more than 15 come and 15 was already sell inmediately !

Seems to me at about 3,000RPM it sounds like the muffler is ready to blow apart from having too much exhaust shoved in it, but by then they are flying and gone.LOL
Toyota are selling heaps of utes here

Dude .. please take a video of the sound of this engine .. please please !!!!!

One thing that catch my atention was the intercooler .. air to air, top mounted and no electric fan under it ..

LOL, Cheers mate, my Nikon coolpix 4300 does not have sound on the video and only lasts a very short time and my boys big Sony Camera is not working properly. The V8's really sound like they need a bigger exhaust. Too quiet also.

Gazza ,any info on what that round thingy is on the back of the engine to the left of the bellhousing???
It looks like it can be screwed out.Maybe something to do with the oil?

Im convinced these have a lot of hidden power potential ,and yep the exhaust is the 1st thing that needs a change.

I don't know about this one but they certainly did on the HDJ81, with the exhaust kink everyone seems to have above the rear crossmember.

By just removing the resonator on my HZJ73, and replacing with 2 1/2" straight pipe, I gained 3 seconds 0 to 100 km/h. Prior to that change, the engine did not want to pull above 3000 rpm..

I am not suprised... The exhaust is definitely a limiting factor especially at high RPMs, Martin White saw a huge difference when he had his exhaust redone...

At this point I'm collecting the parts required to do it myself, I'll certrainly post when I do with my findings (before and after acceleration and fuel consumption)..
