Well, one is a 97 and the other is a 95.
Im going to do up the 97, and use the 95 for parts for now, then make it a runner and sell it. Going to heavily mod the 97, LOA dual lokkers, high steer, shackle inversion, shock inversion, ratios, EXO, HD turbo/intercooler @ 18psi drop shakles... u know the usual.. Cant complain as i got them both for 3k __________________ Lock, Stomp and Steer, No Fear

the 95 has a bit of rust, but only in predictable places, and the 97 has no rust and some super minor panel damages/scratches
thanx people! __________________ Lock, Stomp and Steer, No Fear

I just found a new 1HZ out of a 06 100 series, has 12k on the clock
That takes $5k out of my budget Im taking the body off this weekend and going to get all the parts needed for the chassis mods. So far things to do. * Get body off to have minor panel work and respray * 2" lifted tuff dog springs * buy or make 2" extended hangers * buy superior drop shackles * buy rancho or Tuff dog shokies * Make shock hoops * Cut and rotate front diff * high steer kit * 4.88 ratios * Air locker front and rear * Buy 37x13.5x15 Procomp Xtreme trekkers with 10" offset rims * 3" wheel spacers * Put body back on with 3" body lift * refit dash and looms * Gauges and boost controller * Sound system * Cb radio * Install new engine with denco and garret T3 highflowed setup * Snorkel * Custom air intake with pod and water tight box * Make sliders and Tube tray with s/s checker plate top * Custom endless air setup for lockers and tyres im sure there will be more, but thats a start __________________ Lock, Stomp and Steer, No Fear

you cant get more that 3" commercially, you could make bigger but why? after putting 37x15x15 tyres on 15x10 with 3" offset rims and 3" spacers, you have over 12 inches of more width right there

if your only going to run 37s why bother with the 3" body?
7" soa + 3" springs + 3" body + 2" shackles + 2" hangers + 2" shackle reversal thats ~19" of lift, you could clear 44s and still have full articulation with no scrubbing!!! __________________ Mine: '83 BJ61 '84 FJ45 Dad's: '82 FJ40LX |

hummm stock tires 29" + 34" (17 X 2) = 63" of rubber....
sounds like someone needs to rethink... |

37"s and a spring over OME set up. No body lift necessary. 1.5" wheel spacers per side.

kon uve got it all ass about,
6-7" on SOA, 2-3" on shackles 7" when open LOL 2" lifted springs Not having extended hangers anymore And shackle reversal gives no extra lift as i believe Ill do this first, then see if i need body lift, the body lift is mainly to have chassis as low as possible, and to have plenty room to access chassis for sliders and cage. __________________ Lock, Stomp and Steer, No Fear

for every 1" of lift you can 2" bigger tires (1/2 the tire is bleow the axle, right?)
so if you go 6" lift you can go 12" bigger rubber with the same clearence for travel same as stock. this does not allow for circumfrance of the wheel rubbing on fenders or frame when turing. ie. if your stock truck has 2" of travel (and most do from factory, generic statement) then 6" of lift will allow you 12" bigger tire with the same 2" of travel. stock tires on most crusiers are 29" (31" on the 80 series) so if he has 12" of lift he can run 24" bigger tire so 29 + 24 = 53" tall tire with the same travel as a s stock rig. (of course you will need to trim the fenders to allow for circumfrance interference) me, i like low and stable so sheet metal becomes sacrificial when it comes to fitting larger tires. so for 37" tires you want (37-29=8/2=4) a full 4" of lift. you could run a bit more travel by adding an inch or 2, so if you do a SOA (4"-5") you would be fine for 37" tires. 12" is WAY too excessive in my books and your COG will be the shits. but then that is just my opinion. |

Point .. You need to keep in mind some factors as Shackle reversal ( in my case hit my rear side of fenders each time ) or you can go with lowered bump stops etc ..
