hello from Oregon
Hi All, I finally decided its time to get back into some of the LC stuff I used to do.
Im in Oregon - USA
I currently have 3 cruisers.
- My '78 FJ40 which was the first cruiser I bought back in 92. Its kind of a beater. Stock except for the OME suspension and weber carb.
- A 1985 BJ70 from CA - this one is a project in progress (arent they all?)
- A 1989 BJ75 from CA - this is my daily driver that I wheel once in a while. This one has been fully restored - then rolled - then restored again.
I drive all these trucks and they have all been driven accross the US (2400 mile one way road trip for each when I moved in '99).
Id say I know a decent amount about cruisers and autos in general. I have rebuilt just about every major system of various vehicles and I do my own auto painting. Im a bit out of touch with current cool things etc in the cruiser world though.
I used to be semi-active on the LCML and the DTLC lists a few years back. My TLCA number was 8451, but I havent been a member for a while. I dont have any pics to post at the moment, but I will. I see a few names I recognize so if you know/remember me give me a shout.
Happy cruising.
Chris

Welcome Chris!
Please put your 70 series rigs on the registry here. Just follow the format and throw in a couple pics.
Looking forward to hearing your stories.
Cheers BB

New on the site
I'm from Québec (French speaking part of North America) and I'm the proud owner of two BJ 70 1985. My daily driver is a 2007 FJ Cruiser: great truck but it's not a Land Cruiser.
I bought my first BJ 70 from my father 4 years ago. I learn to drive off-road on this truck when I was 12 years old. The truck is now equiped with 34X9,5" Super Swamper TSL tire, 4,56:1 diff ratio, Detroit Locker front and rear, Newfield oversized HD CV joint and a worm drive winch. My future project for this truck include a PTO winch, bumpers, schnorkel, 36" tires, crawler box and onboard air.
I bought my second BJ 70 last october. My girlfriend was needing a 4X4 for her studies in geomorphology. It's was a nice opportunity to buy a second BJ 70 that would be used for spare parts when it will become a problem to find some. It is equiped with an ARB Bull Bar, 9500lbs winch and 33X10,5R15 Mud Terrain tires. The body has been restore and the 3B has been rebuilt.
I'm happy to join Land Cruiser fans!
Some pics of my rigs :

The Army Truck is a 1942 M37 with a 1988 drivetrain. V8 6,2L diesel, 4-speed manual, Double T-Case (NP 205 + NP 203),Dana 60 front, GM 14 bolt rear, Detroit Locker front and rear, 39½" Irok Tire. It's my father's rig. Not a Toyota but I would buy it anytime!

Hey cool looking LJ70.
Is that one of Crushers trucks?
I thought crusher had a red LJ with a neat winch on the front too?
How do the crawlers work in the snow?

Hey King of the Hill, neat looking country side you live in. I never would have thought OMAN would look like that. I was expecting flowing sand...
Nice cruiser too.

Crusher? Never heard... I´m not local I´m just from Finland
I got ABT 10 000S as front winch, if you take a good look you can allmost see it at earlier picture.
And boggers works fine, damn fine actually, allmost as good as snow chains.
This is how my car was last spring

Greetings from landcraft Adventures Inc.
Good day to all,
Been monitoring this site for a year now just logged in. and have found this forum most usefull for my BJ-60 and 2 LJ-78's. I run Landcraft Adventures Inc. a 4x4 related consulting firm for the local vehicle manufacturers but we basically do "anything and everything 4x4" from ad photo shoots in difficult to get places to marketing activities of vehicle manufacturers, and adventure tours.

Hi All, just bought myself a 1995 LJ 70 for competition use, already fitted 2" emu lift and 33" cooper MTs and have an ARB bumper and come-up winch waiting to be fitted.
I originally bought the cruiser to save me battering my 2006 G400 merc but since I bought it I can't stop driving it! It had 1 owner from new 64000 miles with full toyota service history and is spotless its simplicity makes so much fun compared to the merc.
