Idler Shaft size for 1985 BJ70... anyone?
Howdy,
Wondering if anyone knows the size of the transfercase idler shaft on a 1985 BJ70 (Canada)... 3B... H55 (5 speed). Ordering new gears from Mark's in Aus and want to be sure if I need the 34mm or 38mm kit. Thanks!! Rob |

I've rebuilt one 1985 BJ70 case, so not much of a statistical base there, but it was a 34mm.
38mm came out sometime in 1986. Go measure yours before ordering parts all the way from Aus. Easy enough to get to underneath the truck. __________________ Thanks, Jim C. TLC Performance Underhood Janitor, cleaning up other people's since 1988. |

one on my 85 is the smaller also, 34mm. As Jim says it's easy enough to ger under the truck with a tape measure and be sure.
