Importation of 70 into US from Venezuela?

Anyone ever imported a 70 or 40 into the US from Venezuela? If so, what are the steps and how much will this end up costing in addition to the cost of the vehicle. Shipping, taxes, emission mods, etc...

As long as it's 25 years old (1982 if you wait till January), you're golden, the importation should be straightforward. That covers you for the 40 series.

70 Series? Gray market importation only...

70 Series? Gray market importation only...

Same thing with the 70 series - just have to wait until 25 years old, or find a register importer that will bring it in for you. It would be even better for you if you find a country under CAFTA that made them, then you would avoid the tariffs.
