Raleigh, NC

I saw a few for Charlotte and one for Burlington. Any cruiser mechanics or other shops that specialize in the electrical aspects located in the Raleigh, NC or surrounding area?

Jeff Bearden or anyone in his shop--Bearden Automotive in NW Austin on Technology Blvd., off McNeil Rd. and 183. All techs are Toyota certified and Jeff is scrupulously honest. He'll work on any Toyota or Lexus of any age, and there's usually a bunch of Cruisers there.

Red face Desperate for a good mechanic in the Las Vegas, NV area

Ok so my Dad and I recently did a clutch replacement, and a carb replacement on my 85...and long story short, now the clutch is leaking fluid from where the pedal connects on the interior of the vehicle, and the RPM's drop dramatically when I engage the clutch or even turn a corner. I hate to play the girl card but I am completely lost right now. Does anyone know a good(preferably inexpensive) LC mechanic in the Las Vegas, NV area? I use my cruiser for everything and I have to get my car repaired asap. Please let me know. Thanks.

Mr. (Young) Nguyen is no longer at that address. He is working out of someone else's shop. BUT! I have not had a good experience with him. I went to him because of this web-site but I would reccomend him to anyone. He is too expensive, and was not timely or has he been reliable. I get the impression he's working out the trunk of his car. I would call this guy a shade tree mechanic. Oh, and he only takes cash. Has anyone else had a bad experience with him?

Hey guys, not really a 60 driver, all I have ever had is 40s and an 80, but here is a good shop in Metro Atlanta Georgia. These guys do great work and most importantly they finish and have you truck back to you when they say they will.

Atlanta Custom Creations
334 North Clarendon Ave.
Scottsdale, GA 30079

How about a good TLC mechanic around Broward County Florida. or North Miami.

With gas prices I think twice if I have to drive more than 35 miles.

Thanks

Back in the hunt several years later. Need someone to help me dial in a carb that Mark rebuilt about a year ago. Just haven't been around to get it working. Can someone suggest someone please? I've tried and tried but the thing just will not run or idle properly.

Thanks.

Probably too late to do any good, but:

Ventura 4x4 Center
Ruben & Billi-Jo Garcia
They own an FJ40 themselves, and can build or work on just about anything anyone could possibly want.

I just wanted to add. If your in the East bay area:

Olsen's Automotive Repair‎
6411 Brisa St
Livermore, CA 94550

The owner used to assemble the fjs when they got to the states back in the day working for Toyota. He is very knowlegable with the cruisers and all toyotas for that matter. Good guy and honest. Good prices when i went there, don't know anymore though.

Also i have had Ron Diaz at Customcruiserfj40
gilroy, ca. not to far from san jose
do:
he is the one who found my first cruiser that i purchased
He is honest and does great work, he had mad fabbing skills also..lol
out of all the shops in the bay area i would recomend him as number one and i have been to alot of shops and had alot of different experiences.

Tri-Valley Hose:
6430 Preston Ave # C
Livermore, CA 94551
(925) 373-7414

talk to joe, hes a great guy and can make anything and he has an incredible turn around.

Livermore Muffler Shop‎:
3829 1st St
Livermore, CA 94551
(925) 447-0730
one of most straight forward and honest guys in the area. He did a showjob on my fj with the exhaust. Not enough words can describe how great his work is.
He bent my exhaust out of the way of everything and tucked it way up under the truck. I have found that I have had alot of compliments about my exhaust of all things haha. It is beautiful though. He also is very reasonably priced. Very good at his trade. a true PRO

Bay Area Arma Coatings Inc‎
Write a review - - more info »Placement on map is approximate
3989 1st St # A
Livermore, CA 94551
(925) 449-7100

great guys. The are fast and do great work for a decent price. I would recommend that you make sure they sand the surface before applying their coatings or bring it in with the prep work already done because they don't do it. Still I have had a great experience with them.

Livermore Engine:
456 Franklin Ln
Livermore, CA 94551
(925) 449-9080

Talk to Peter. He is in his 70s. He has to be the most knowlegable in all engines than anyone i will porbably ever meet in my lifetime. He has had engine experiences with all makes and started rebuilding engines when he was 13 in his home country. He will sit and talk your ear off all day and answer any questions you could ever have. He also is ABOSLUTELY NO BS-ING around. WHen he gives you a price it will be that price and thats that. He will let you know everything thats going on with your cars engine that he has in his hands. I could go on about Peter. He is slower paced than others but he gets the job done right.
