I assume you have talked to Mark or this might help. http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series...rks-great.html

Merl is a great guy who will work on you with anything you are having trouble with. He also has acres of junked cruisers so he has all the little parts you need.

Seattle area body, mechanic for Maxine 1984fj60

I'm new to site as of now and would like a rec on a good body referb and routine mechanical stuff.
I've had my rig since 1990 and haven't used her to her capacity off road. However, the challenges of the last three weeks in King and Skagit Valley on the farm and rural roads taught me a few things about her abilities to go where no vehicle chose to go. Like 3 freakin feet of snow. I'm not or wasn't a sno driver until it became obvious I had to get her going. WOW what fun, what success. Now I want more.
Sorry for long note. Please send any recs for my recquests and any links I may find educational etc.

East Olympia Cruisers (AKA: Brandon's Garage)

Full points and big props to East Olympia Cruisers (AKA: Brandon's Garage) in Thurston County. Brandon is a great guy who has proved to not only be VERY knowledgable about Cruisers, he does execptional work at a reasonable price. I'd recommend him without hesitation. He has handled a rear axle rebuild, a few electrical issues, some equipment upgrades, and a few mechanical issues for my FJ62.

Brandon can be reached at:
Brandon’s Garage
East Olympia Cruisers, the South Sounds Land Cruiser Specialist
or via phone at: (360) 701-5375

You won't be disappointed!

Got anyone in the Reno NV/ Lake Tahoe/ Sacramento area? Need to re-jet my carb on '83 FJ60 to pass CA smog. Training myself, but its always great to know an expert, especially for bigger jobs that I don't have room/tools/time for myself. Thanks!
Read the rest of this thread and think I found someone in Grass Valley. Should have read the whole thing in the first place. Rookie mistake.

K & H Import Auto repair is one of the best around these parts for the price and the quality of work. The owner is a FJ62, FJ60 Freak and they know everything about these rigs.

Does anybody from Puerto Rico have the phone number of the two mechanics that specialize in LC? I know one is from San Juan, and the other is from Cabo Rojo.

Anyone know of a mechanic that is even slightly familiar with 'yotas in northern Indiana?
I replaced my engine and am having problems and would like someone to take a look at it who knows something more than I do or might be of help.
