| Silicone Vacuum Hose Happened across the following silicone hose offered in different diameters, lengths, & colors for all of you that haven't changed your vacuum lines yet: http://www.bakerprecision.com/hosetech.htm
Seems to be more reasonably priced than the fast-n-furious suppliers. At least you can buy it in 20' lengths. |

| I don't see 3mm? I think that is the size of the small lines.

| Nocal -
You may be right. I was amazed because I had looked for metric silicone before I bought rolls of SAE Goodyear regular stuff. I think the silicone seals better & would withstand heat better. The little orange shorties on the carb are Toyota silicone.
Mr. Pimp -
Wish you had posted your find a couple years ago. I've swapped out hoses on 2 FJ60s with the Goodyear stuff since. Works, but "ain't right". |

| I've wanted to color code the vacuum systems in my engine compartment for a long time. I don't care if it looks ricey, it'd make it easier to trace hoses when there's a problem

Orange, red, whatever: mainly not black - mine looked like rust (not that again) - & that was on 2 60s. |

| well I aint ever seen that on any of mine or any of the carbs laying around......not that its not possible. I KNOW 81+ had no orange when new, I have too many one owner rigs. Also a new Aisin will not have any orange, I bought one last year and thgey come with new hoses. I will say I don't have a 78 carb.......so maybe.......
I still think its been replaced, does it have any marks on it? the original vac lines were actaully marked(*+#, kinda thing) for each place they went. The replacement line is marked but not the same.
Mark or someone will be the one to know.........
