sluggish fj62
My sons fj62 is again running very sluggish, we have put a new muffler, fuel filter, plugs--all of that helps for a while, then it is back to sputtering. Any suggestions. Maybe an injector issue.
Thanks,
Frank

Not much to go on, have you pulled the plugs to see what color they are? Oil coated?

Sluggish in free revving or sluggish in driving?
How have the emissions systems been maintained? Fuel pressure regulator (search FPR), fuel pressure damper (search "what the deuce is this thing?")?

Any codes? If it's running okay, but just sluggish (doesn't sound like it is though) make sure your throttle cable to the transmission is adjusted close to taught.

See this thread for reading codes: http://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wa...ml#post1482948
If there are any trouble codes, they'll likely point in the right direction (like mixture or O2 sensors failing, or one of the sensors giving a bad signal).

If your plugs are black and it sputters at low rpm, check for failed coolant temp sensor, leaking cold start injector or failed CSI time switch. Also good to test throttle position sensor jes cuz.
