Pwer steering pressure line repair

I had to either buy a new pressure line for my HJ60 or cut about 1/4" out between the 2 hoses and get the line rejoined again.
I choose to repair it , because the Toyota dealer in my area wanted $305 + tax for a new one.
I had a friend do the repair for me since he is an expert on hydraulic and has all the stuff needed to do this repair in the shop. He silver sodered the lines to a short piece of steel tubing about 1.5" long. He also drilled the piece to make the toyota line fit tightly inside it.
I am very pleased with this repair , I dicided to remove the return line also , and sanded painted all the steel parts . I was able to reuse all the holding clips and what have you back as they were.
I cut out part of the return line due to extreme rust and used a longer hose to go from the reservoir the return line.
Also replaced the other hose going from the stering box and the return line.
It might be worth it to check your lines for rust and deal with them before it is too late and flush your system to renew the fluid.
I have taken a couple of pics, but I have no idea if I will be able to post them, but I can try. My cammera connection seems to be faulty.

You can have high pressure lines made at a hydraulic supply shop. When I put power steering on my FJ40, Napa was able to make up a line for me. I probably would have gone this route rather than repair the old line.

Thanks to all you guys.
Usually I would have made a hose, but I didn't want to change this freekin line.
And not much for aftermarket parts around here.
Soory, I forgot all about this , here are a couple of pics, the first pic,
you see the repaired section to the right.
next pic my lines painted. I took more pics, but they were too drak to see.
