| There are at least half a dozen places to draw off of for light in that area of a 60. 3' is way excessive..
Thanks for the tech on the LED's I kinda like the idea of knowing exactly where to put the mic back.
Mine will go in the other blank spot (near the glove box)
Hurry, up on updating the site

FWIW, I think having a light might be handy.. even though it's not too hard to find the spot at night when yo uget used to it.

Anyway I made that for the raffle 62 the club did a couple summers ago, I could probably make a few more if there's interest I'll try to find a picture. but let me get these 60 guys taken care of first...
So I promised you an update in about a week so here it is: I made 4 more of these with the LED attachment, and all of that works great. So counting the one I have with no attachment for LED's, that makes a total of 5 that I guess are available to anyone. Don't buy yet though, couple pictures first, also I've got some more info about the lights that I will save for a second post as I need to resize a few more images first.

| So my SOP for all of these things has been to immediately rattle can them black- the material is white, but black seems to be the best fit for dashboards... center consoles being brown or gray. Anyway so all painted up and install the LED's and I am pretty disappointed with how it illuminates... the back side is plenty bright, but you can barely see the logo in front. Lame I say. But I have a possible solution, so sit tight for one more post:

| the black paint is obviously hosing this thing up, so I took a screwdriver, followed by a pocket knife, and proceeded to scrape off the spray paint from inside the recessed letters. I slipped a couple times, you'll see that in the pictures, particularly on the red one. But what that left behind was essentially a white logo that stands out much better. And with the lights on, it's downright cool, if I do say so myself...

| Presuming this is the way to go for "production," and I think it is, I need to devise a way to selectively mask and paint these guys. I've got a couple idea, so I'm going to make a few more to experiment with. If it doesn't pan out, then I think my options will be to offer them black and unpainted (white) which would allow someone who really cared to take a little more time to mask off and paint around those letters. I guess I could offer three options really- all black, white letters, and all white.. but again presuming I can economically master the white letters.
so in the mean time if someone wants one of the 5 I have I can ship those right away. So this doesn't turn into a for sale thread though just email me sales@gamiviti.com, in fact that's also my paypal address if you'd prefer to just send me money without confirming first. If I run out, I'll just refund it. And since I kind of scraped up the two in the pictures above I can repaint those if someone doesn't want lights, so only options for this first round is all black- and that's 4 made for LED's, and 1 without.. Oh yeah, $10 without, $15 with LED... includes shipping. thanks!!
Now back to your tech comments...

Honestly I'm not sure there's enough market with the 62 owners to make it worthwhile. I have one mic holder on the tranny hump and a big rubber band for the other.

| Hey Nakman,
Got a nice little surprise in the mail today!
Fits perfect, looks great and solves a problem I have had with securing my mic. In the picture you can still see my old solution: a magnetic mic holder. It just would not stay put.
Thanks for a great inexpensive and very cool solution!!

And I made a few more 60 ones... new attempt at white letters which is better than before, but still too labor intensive. I will try to get the site updated tonight.. but you can just send me money if you're impatient.
And good to see this is working well for you guys, kinda makes me want a 60 now, I am using my 60 dash bezel & mic holder for my 2m base station....
I am going to permanently mount that to my desk somehow...
