Why do just powder coat the alum ones you have black or get them without the street lock look.

If I had to choose between black and silver, my vote is silver. But why limit it to just those two? Just painted mine ultra flat Khaki and I really like how it looks on my rig

I have toyed with this question many times myself. Black looks meaner, silver more classy. My only fear with black is that it may become trendy. So for now I vote silver.

I think with your dark brown the black wheels win hands down. Black wheels have been trendy for some time, but they're both rugged and sexy. They're also classic like Levis and a white Tshirt. Ask me how I know.

I was throwing the idea around as well, then I washed my cruiser and the Chrome was just so shiny and classy looking... so I vote silver.

Black vs Silver –
It’s a tough call. I always wanted to paint my stock chrome rims black. I voted black in the poll, but silver rims look real good to.
I went with a little of both..
Not the best shot but there are more in the links in my sig.

I have the original chrome rims on my '85. My 19yr. old son is always trying to get me to paint them black or powder coat 'em black. I like the chrome because they do shine up nice. For road and highway get the chrome and for wheelin' with those 32"boggers powder coated black ones. That is what I think I will do. The skinnies on the stockers are too new to replace so i will get some steelies and rattle can 'em black for the trail. You wont be able to tell the color anyway with all the dust and mud anyhow.

I would say it depends on the trucks overall apearance. Silver looks AWESOME on trucks that are very clean and unblemished with most of their chrome in tact. That said.... Black is the ultimate "utillitarian" look for used rigs or off-road trucks with heir share of rock rash and such.
Oh here is my choice.

I couldn't agree more! Well said. However, black looks great with the tan regardless of it's use or condition, nice truck.

With your cage, rack and all go black. I am more of a silver or white, but black with that rig for sure.

I hate black wheels but I hate non-oem wheels on a 60 series more.
Chrome OEM or powdercoated gray OEM.
