As long as you're looking at the door
My 84 had a worn out drivers window crank assembly. You have to get inside the door to replace the glass, would be a good time to have a look and see if the big gear has a flat/worn spot, and grease up the parts that are greasable if it looks ok.

Whoops - just noticed you had a 62, so you most likely have electric windows. Well, in that case, check the wires, and use dielectric grease on the connectors! Thought still counts for us manual window types.

Not trying to highjack the thread but......Those damn window regulators seem to go rather quickly as I have gone through a couple in the last ten years.
Anyone know where a deal on these is other than Cruiserparts.net or SOR or Ebay. Does anyone have one I can buy for the drivers side? perhaps?

Wow, look at all the expensive **** in your sig line. Perhaps you should make the damned thing run, reliably, before dragging it thru an offroad catalog with a magnet attached! After all the work it took to install all that, I'd thinhk a couple of water leaks should be minor! ~ TEXX (IH8MUD member) 10/09

brand new window installed, 185 dollars later! I've only owned my 62 since 2002 but never have i had problems with the regulator (knock on wood) Now i'm thinking about new tint on the windows and a two way alarm with remote start....Any other 60's with remote start?
Thanks

I got remote start for my GF - she loves it. But i think when i asked they said they would not install on a manual trans car... Not that a bit of ingenuity can't overcome this. Maybe an installer on the side for a bit of extra$...
plus - how would the choke work since ours is not electronic?
I'd like it, but am also habitual and leave it in gear - that wouldn't be fun.
