How remove distributor
Can anyone help me how to remove a distributor I lose a screw but I can get it out .

Ah, I didn't realize the ole beast was out of the truck.
If you are tearing the motor down much further (like pulling the crank) then don't bother orienting the dizzy first. Just pull it out. There's likely a nice crusted groove of deposits that's holding it in when you try to pull.

I tapped the slot from below with a rubber mallet when mine was out of the truck. It just needed some persuasion.

just want to ask do you think I should change the cam bearing and crank bearing at the same time I am this far.

cam and crank bearings are a hell of a lot further in than you have gone..

Drop the pan (it probably could use a new gasket anyway) and pull a rod cap and a main cap and look at the bearings. At 235K mine looked almost perfect. These motors have a pretty sturdy bottom end.

Just an fyi/semi-hijack for me...Would a guy be able to fab a cam bearing install tool similar to the one I hacked together for a domestic V-8 several years ago? (All-thread with various thick washers and bolts)

Absolutely if you can get the right sized washers..
We fabbed one out of AL with a lathe one year.

ok how do you clean head gasket out it stuck on the block?

gasket scraper, wire brush on either a die grinder or electric grinder..
Stuff like that
