CB's in your 60's?

Looking at installing a CB in my 60 and was looking for some opinions on Brands and models along with pics of where other 60 owners have the units and antennas mounted. Thanks in advance.

I like Cobra. There certainly are many good brands though. I have an ARB front bumper on my 60 and will use that mounting point for my antenna.

Uniden makes a small unit that will fit into the blank pocket in the dash, although an external speaker is required. Larger units fit well attached to the center console (in place of the cup holder). Cobra, Uniden, Radio Shack are all good. Stay away from Maxxon.

This small Cobra was recomended by several Cruiserheads to me:

The whole thing is in the handset, so no mouning problems. There is a small box that the handset and antenna plug in to. I mounted it under my DS seat. It stays under there untill I need it, then I just pull it out between the seat and center console. My antenna is mounted to my roof rack, with the coax running throught the DS back door at the corner.

I had never seen a CB that small. Take care of the mounting issues. Thanks for the link!

I have an old cobra. It works good. I mounted mine between the shifter and center console. I used would and velcro for the mounting bracket. I like this setup as it allows me to relocate the unit easily if needed. I ran the coax out the back hatch to the roof or back bumper and use a magnetic mount antenna.
