OME Shocks for new stock springs?

I am new to this site (love it) and a '86 FJ 60 owner. I replace the old sagging springs with Triangle Springs to bring it back to stock height and hopefully ride. But the ride is now pretty rough with a lot of bouncing fore and aft. If i was to replace the original shocks with OME N89-N88's would I see any improvement? Or are these shocks too stiff to realize and benefit from replacing the old shocks?

I would appriciate your comments!

I would use the OEM shocks from Toyota. I got all four for $90. They are prolly softer than OME and OME may be a little long for the stock height. It takes a little while for springs to 'break in.' Give them a time and they'll become softer. New shocks should help your bouncing too. I am not familiar with Triangle Springs, but a quick search showed me that they are rough riding and sagg early? I can't speak for others.

Good luck.

The Explorer Pro Comp shocks on my 62 provide for a nice highway ride. More expensive than stock but cheaper than OME.

I notice a very nice improvment when I replaced the newish OEM shocks on the stock 62 with OME shocks.

and the beauty of that is you can run them with stock or OME suspension.......makes upgrading to full OME a bit less painfull

OME shocks sill improve the ride of your rig and as Landpimp said you can in the future lift it up 2" without changing shocks. any vehicle fitted with OME shocks the ride will always improve due to its design, and your suspension will travel longer.
