H55F Toyota five speed and diesel.

Will the H55F Toyota five speed bolt up to a 3B or other diesel offered in these Land Cruisers? Thanks.

yes but it must be the correct H55F for a 3B, one for a 2f or HJ wont work........I am pretty sure.

Check out my signature!! I've got an H55 mated to my 3B. The 'Cruisers with manual trannys sold in Canada from the '83 model year on all had the H55 trannys. Older ones had the H42 tranny and Landpimp is right again, the 3B uses a different input shaft on the tranny than the F or H series engines do. The swap for the input shafts is easy on the 4 speed, I did it in the garage on the 4 speed for the FJ55/3B but I don't know if the H55 uses the same input shaft. I don't see why it wouldn't but I don't know for sure.

Thanks.

Okay thanks. I was looking at a 1985 FJ with a new H55f 5 speed and the 2F engine. The truck only has 84,000 miles on it but I would like the torque and economy of the 3b for a later swap. Just seeing the possibilities here. I see in your sig you are in Guatemala. I have a 1978 Dodge Ramcharger that apparently spent a large part of it's life there. It was made for export, has service and license stickers from Guatemala on it and the odometer and speedometer are in Kilometers. It has a veterinarian/doctor sticker in spanish as well. It is pretty neat. Has an australian sticker on it and carribean parking stickers as well. Thanks for the info.
