Glad to see I'm not the only one! When I had my drivetrain out I used a heated pressure washer (for tractor trucks) with degreaser additive to get EVERYTHING. Wore my professional snakeskin speedos with the reinforcements and went to town. It was amazing how much junk came out of the Cruisers trunk. Grease, dirt, road grime, and other misc.
Pressure washed, then used 2 packs of green scrubbies to get down to paint (was still there). Once dry I tidied up with 4 cans of 3M spray on undercoating, and 2-3 cans of Rustoleum Pro. for touch ups.
Several of my buddies thought I missed my OCD meds...

Fantastic work! The only way I could ever get my rig to look that good is to find a local time machine and go back to 1992 - and then only if the PO was keeping it in a garage, which I kinda doubt.
I am envious....

Damn that brings back memories a=of crap getting into my eyes, and many, many, many years of spilled drinks under the nasty carpeting...This really makes me feel alot better thinking someone else is as crazy as I am about these things...now, you still need to get some new IPOR seats, center console, visor covers, rear seat cover, paint the rear seat steel backing, and clean the headliner...oh, and then replace all the door seals including the rear hatch uppers and lowers to get out all the debris, etc.
Almost forgot...I also hand sewn a new restoration of the original vinyl e-brake cover. Gad, Im anal.
Please keep it going!
Crud, it looks like you've already got the IPOR's...

I decided to skip sound deadening on the rear seat panel, but did sound deaden under the rear seat proper. I too am interested in upgrading to a tuffy (currently have the Iron Horsey). You are going to be incredibly happy revamping the interior.

I am done...........for this weekend.
Its 10pm- I am beat down tired. I treated the rust spot( only surface) put down damplifier and installed new carpet. I polished my wheels, cleaned my engine and I am passing out.
Here are the pics-
My workspace

Getting started- the under jute was lots of fun

Rear set area

Front seat carpet going in

Looking much better
Rear seat area

I got the carpet from someone on Mud- it is good quality, I think they said TLC put it in? I could be wrong. Fits like a glove. I need to spray adhesive a few spots on teh firewall but that is it.

It's official, you are possessed. I know the feeling....can't stop in the middle...anywhere really, until its done. Full Blown Addiction. At least it makes the wallet a lot easier to carry around, being so much lighter and all.

I was going to mention that when I did the dynamat on the floor section, I also bought this stuff by dynamat called extremeliner. It's a great heat shield and I think it has some sound protection also. I just laid the (I think 24" x 36") sheet of extremeliner over the stick shift hump. It did wonders with keeping heat from the engine compartment out of the cabin. If you haven't gotten all of the carpet in, you may want to check it out! I know my stick shift hump would always heat up after a little bit of driving.
Looking good!

This almost makes me angry... What the f### ! Has your 60 been stored in a jar? or maybe a freezer? How can the underside of the car be so shiny? I thought they came slightly pre-rusted from the factory just to get it going!?
Looks (to) good

Looking Great! Can't wait to see this thing this weekend!! I wish I could get mine that clean. I had a chance when I had the tcase-transmission out to really clean the undercarraige, but couldn't find the time. That'll be a winter project (I hope!)

I doubled up the damplifier on both passenger and driver side trans humps. Drove it to work this morning and the difference is amazing. So quiet, I mean its still a 60, but I dont hear every knock and thud anymore, and no rattles (I put a piece of fabric by my keys also). I highly recommend doing the damplifier, it is not hard at all.
I feel blessed to have gotten such a clean frame. I find myself just staring at it. I am into the restoration and maintainence of all my toyotas and now the 60 feels done (well almost ) Thanks for compliments, Next is headliner cleaning, and replacing sway bar bushings, but I have to wait until Cdan gets back into town. Does anyone have a rear wiper squirter they dont need?

Not sure the bag itself on mine was toast, will check for the motor power parts and get back to you. Going to unhook mine; from past experience when I wanted to use it I really needed a fire hose not that little stream. If mine is ok it's yours I'll just have to check.

Do you need the bag and the pump or the actual squirter tip?

Did you find a good price on the Damplifier?
If you read Philos1 thread, he took his door panels off and put it inside his doorson top of everything you did. He said it made a huge improvement. I think he is V-8.

I just need the actual squirter tip.
I sourced about 20sq ft of damplifier from ebay and the other 60 sq ft from second skin. I have some left to do the doors, I was waiting until I got my stereo installed which is next week.
