Yeah I know he's busy. So do I just send it or should I talk to him first?

It's an act of Faith...

Send him the dizzy. Include a sheet with your contact info, and maybe a check. I sent paypal to his aol email address. It'll take 4-6 weeks, but he'll get back to you eventually. He's a good guy and his services are in demand, so you're gonna have to wait. It'll be worth it. He did a great job on my dizzy.

When I get a back-up carb, I'm gonna send it to him too.

Just a word of caution: when you get the dizzy back, don't open it in the house-- Your wife will come all the way from the other side of the abode to see what that "smell" is....

S.

Ok, well I'll just do it I guess. I know he's got a great reputation. It just seems weird not to talk to someone before sending them a critical part of my truck to work on.

How much do I make this check out for?

got mine back a couple weeks ago

He is a very busy guy. But I'd recommend waiting to hear back from him. He'll have some specific questions for you about the carb, its application and your driving habits. Oh...and how much it'll be. ;-)

I haven't had time to put the new one on yet, but will report when it's together.

If it's a dizzy, include a $100. May be more depending on parts. Or you can just send it, with tracking, and contact info, and he'll let you know how much it will be and you can pay with paypal... Or, if you're uncomfortable with that, just wait until he gets back to you.
