I'm in England until probably the 26th. The plan was to get it and get whatever parts off for the California guys, tow it to phoenix and strip it there for everyone else and ship whatever parts are wanted. If someone has an easier plan let me know. I'm in either way. I'll buy the whole rig but just want to make sure everyone is committed to buying there parts and to justify the purchase price. I plan to offer the guy 2k and I believe he'll take it.

When did you plan on purchasing it from the guy? We should by it soon before it gets sold. My Dad has a shop in Sun Valley California. I have space to hold it until you get back. That should give us enough time to get the parts off for the California guys before towing it to Pheonix.

Well I'm wrapped up with work right now for a couple more weeks. I guess I could wire him the money if you can pick it up. I think we need a more definitive list of who wants what and prices though. Looks like for now there's:
front bumper
rear bumper
tires/wheels
suspension
manual trans conversion stuff
body
frame
I'm waiting to see if there's any more interest in parts so I'm not stuck with a ton of stuff.

Lets see who chips in monday. I can pick it up later in the week and store it until you get back. Hopefully we can get enough people together so everyone gets s deal on prices and shipping. The more people who chip in the cheaper it is for everyone.

I'm interested in the complete motor, pending more info about its condition. Does anyone know if its got good cylinder compression, good oil pressure, etc.?

The guy says it runs fine but I didn't get to hear it or ck the mileage. It does have a new radiator and alternator. I'll find out next time I talk to him or you can call him at 818-497-5743. If you got the engine it would be good since I need the bulky stuff gone soon. Thanks

Oooh, yummy, a parts truck. Once the truck is bought & spoken-for stuff pulled, you might make a 'parting out' thread. Leftovers might cover the 'barley pop' fund.
I'll take brown/tan rear cargo panels($50), forward dome light ($5.00), DS front turn signal gasket, hood bumpers (round pucks forward of radiator), rear shoulder seat belts ($50), larger non-US mirrors ($50) and PS rear marker light ($5).
That's around $170 for all...

Door panels, hatch and window regulator,
Does $175 for the rear hatch, the door and interior panels that have the cheap gray vinyl on them and the drivers door window regulator sound fair? plus whatever the shipping is to NC?
Thanks
Randy

Just 4 wheels/tires. Not sure where the 5th went. They probably would have just rotated it to the other trucks when crashed.

We have barely enough to finance the venture. I think the rest of the truck will have to be posted into parting out thread. Not getting any more bites.

Plus my $170ish makes it $2145...
edit: ooh, forgot about the front fender skirts (4 rubber pieces that keeps water from splashing into engine bay)-- are they intact?

The stripper.
I just spoke to the owner. He will hold it for me for a couple more weeks until I get back to the states. I will send him a deposit. He's sticking to his price of 2500.00 but I think it's worth it to part it out, so if we get close that's fine with me. I would like to see a final list of who wants what and a price, not including shipping. Then we can sort out the logistics of getting everyone their parts. I don't mind pulling parts off and such but would like a few extra bucks thrown in for my efforts (it's hot as hell) and I have to tow it to Phoenix. Once the big stuff is gone I'll post it in the classifieds for the tid bits. Thanks for everyones interest and help so far. If someone can host the pics I'll e-mail them to you for all to see. Funny that I'm in Data center design and can't remember how to post a damn pic.
