Has anyone recovered their dash with vinyl

Just as the title says. I took a dash off a parts 60 and started working on making a vinyl cover for it, and was wondering if anyone else has done this and if so what their thoughts are?

Haven't done it but am interested in your progress. Also, (and hopefully not to deflect your thread), I am curious as to how bedliner without granules would work. Please post photos when you get it worked up on the vinyl project.

For the price of materials, you could almost buy an ABS cover

I already have the fabric and a commercial sewing machine. It won't cost me anything. I did a test piece last night and the vinyl will stretch into the vent holes, and it looked good. I just have to find something to fill in the cracks with.

crack cover up (under your vinyl idea)...

Here's a project I started but haven't put more time into...

inexpensive sheet of perforated aluminum from local hardware store and fiberglass I had left over in the garage from a repair I did on a friends boat.
